Pelon Pelo Rico, Rellerindos, and, generally speaking, any Mexican candy that looks like poop, are tamarind flavored.
Okay, I won't bring you candy from Mexico...I can find LOTS of it here in Florida!
You guys should try a new Mexican candy that is being sold in California, its soooooo good. It´s a 100% dehidrated fruit lollipop called FRULER, it has a little bit of Chile on top, just delicious.
It comes in Mango, Pineapple, Strawberry, Tamarind and Peach flavours. I think they´ll be sold all over California.
Yum I am eating a Rellerindo right now. Rellerindos are extremely rich in citric acid, malic acid and ascorbic acid because they are filled with tamarind paste. People trying to kick the sugar habit need to keep them on hand.
