I've decided that one of my summer projects is to take a census of who in the world actually likes Circus Peanuts. I must admit, they really do fascinate me. I mean, come on, a peanut-shaped candy that tastes like banana-flavored insulation. Yum! Here's my list so far:
1) My mom
2) My dad

I like Circus Peanuts! It brings a smile to my lips every time they return for the summer. Yeah, you can get stale ones year round - but there's nothing to compare to the freshest, softest circus peanuts you get in the late spring.

I love these! I admit they're gross and the color is hideous, but sometimes I'm just in the mood for that grainy, sugary, chewy texture.

But seriously... they are so good.
I love them but don't eat them anymore since becoming a vegetarian. They are made with gelatin. Alas.
My father and brother love them as well but I have met many folks who do not like them worth a darn. What's not to love?
Jen - is there really a season for circus peanuts? So they are only ripe in the summer, like okra or cucumbers? That's good to know!
My mom loves these. But Circus Peanuts are sort of like chocolate-covered cherries for me. Every once in a while I have to have one because I always forget why it is that I don't like them. One is all it takes to remind me, though.
However, if anyone knows where to buy these - especially the white ones, please let me know! ~ Shelley
Add my husband, Matt, to the list. He has to buy circus peanuts each time he visits the dollar store or Walmart. He never gets tired of them, and prefers them stale.

I love them!---I haven't seen them for years--at Easter I always get the bunnies--that are just like circus peanuts--and everyone thinks I'm crazy!
